I love my pediatrician Dr. Newton--but I know he only accepts new born patients and siblings of newborn patients.....but they have a new lady doc in their office that My sister switched to a few months ago b/c she is accepting any age. My sis likes her. I don't know her name off the top of my head....but it is Centennial Pediatrics at Independence and 121. They just moved to this brand new office this year and it is so nice:) And I like the whole office staff. If you need more info email me.
stonebridge pediatrics is good - Dr. Reyes is a member, he has the tendency to talk too much sometimes, but he trusts my instincts which I appreciate in a ped. and he has called things in for me without having to see my kids because he trusts me, something I very much appreciate having four kids. they worked with us on payments during unemployment and they have a separate entrance for newborns I hear... he also is supportive of many parenting styles, vaccinate, don't vaccinate, vaccinate on your own time frame, etc. http://www.stonebridgepediatrics.com/
We go to McKinney Pediatrics on the corner of the 380 and Lake Forrest. (Next to the gas station and chicken place) They have the pharmacy right in their lobby so you don't have to make another trip to get your prescriptions filled. comes in handy with a sick baby. Beautiful building with sick and well visit lobbys.
We have been going to Stonebriar Pedriatrics since the boys were infants. Dr. Thai is wonderful, the most thorough doctor I have dealt with. Him and his staff really take the time with you and will answer to all your questions to exhaustion. My husband (who is a hypochondriac but won't admit to it) really likes Dr. Thai. He likes that he explains situations clearly and most importantly in layman terms that anyone can understand. Most importantly, they are very fair when it comes to their fees. I did not know it at the time, but it seems our insurance for some odd reason does not cover some special vision test that the kids got. When I got the bill from their office, they docked their price down instead of billing us as they would have an insurance company. Very honest management. We love them! http://stonebriarpediatrics.com/
I second Amanda's comments on Dr. Newton of Centennial Pediatrics! My three-year-old loves going to see him, and we have always received excellent care. They are very quick to return phone calls, and see sick children. They have a spanky new office with separate waiting areas for sick and well kids. I have been nothing but impressed with the entire operation as I feel they are thorough and very genuinely concerned about the well-being of their patients. I have also seen the new doctor in the practice who is accepting new patients, Dr. Susan Weiser, and she is excellent!! Go here for more information: http://www.centennialpediatrics.net/index.html
