Breast Pump

I wanted to ask here before checking out any other websites. Do any of you ladies have a breast pump that I can buy? I don't need any of the tubing or accessories, just the pump will be fine.

We bought Austin this Fisher Price school bus ball pit about 9 or so months ago and he has had very little interest in it at all. In fact, we've really just used it as a big toy box. I think we're way over it. We've purchased a set of additional ball for it, so there's a fair amount, but isn't "full" like a McDonalds ball pit by any means, but extra balls are like $12 or something at target. Anyway, we paid around $65 for it at Toys R Us, but I'd be more than happy to let it go, balls and all for $20. I'm posting it on craigslist in a few days if I don't hear from anyone on here. First come, first serve. It's in really great shape and has no holes or leaks. We blew it up when we bought it and it's still up now without having to blow it up again. The bus is inflatable, so transporting it wouldn't be a problem, and we can shove balls in walmart sacks or something. Just let me know if you're interested!

Free Ticket for Time Out for Women in Plano this October

 Hi Ladies!  Someone from the Time Out for Women team somehow got a hold of me and they are looking for 2 ladies from the Frisco Stake to volunteer at the event in October in exchange for a free ticket to the event.  Each person has to be from a different ward.  So I can take one from Frisco 4th and one from Frisco 5th, you get the idea.  First two ladies to email me at lieslfisher AT hotmail.com get the slots.

We are looking for sisters to be a part of our Time Out for Women team.

-Participate in a mandatory training phone call on Wednesday June 9th at either 10am or 9pm.  Whichever time works best for you.  This is just going to be an explanation of the day of the event and expectations before the event.

 

-Get the word out.  Tell everyone you know about Time Out for Women.  Send an email to 50 of your friends and have them send it to 50 of theirs and so on. Post it on Facebook or twitter! Check out the TOFW PLANO facebook page and invite all your friends. One request is to NOT announce the event or distribute flyers at ANY church activity  (rs meetings, sunday meetings, etc).

 

-Receive and respond to any emails from me

 

-Assist at the actual event.  Come early and help unpack the tote bags, seat people, take tickets.  VERY EASY!  There is NO setting up at all, ie chairs, or taking anything down.  You may miss the first 5 minutes of the event if you are seating or taking tickets, but after the event starts each day, your job is done. 

The event is scheduled for Friday and Saturday Oct 8 & 9th.  It is in the Plano Centre (2000 E Spring Creek Pkwy, in Plano)

Friday 6:30-9:30pm (will need you to come early to help and we'll let you know the time soon)

Saturday 9am-3:45pm.

 

-And THAT"S IT!!  Super easy.  Basically, aside from the phone call there isn't much to do until August and then you can just start getting the word out.

The best part is you get your ticket for FREE!

leather belts

Hi!

I am doing a bit of a project and need about 8 brown or tan leather belts. I called Goodwill, but they were oh so not helpful. IF anyone has an extra belt I would be happy to take it off your hands! (I know it's kind of a weird request, but why not try!)

Curtains

Hello all! I am in the process of changing my curtains. I have 6 loverly terra cotta (some call it a burnt orange, but that is less attractive) curtain panels up for grabs. I spent well over $150 on these bad boys about 2 years ago. All I am asking is $30 for them. (basically all I need is enough moolah to buy my new ones from Ikea. ) Sooooo, if you are interested, please let me know. Even if you just want them for the fabric, that's cool too. I am sure you can sew something fancy from them.

Baby Sitter

Hey ladies! I have some friends looking for a sitter for their 16 month old daughter. Apparently their current sitter refuses to turn the air conditioning on and lies to them about other things so they are looking to find someone new ASAP. It would be M-Th 7am-5pm and Fri 7am-11am. Embroidery help

Any of you ladies know a cost-effective (read - cheap/free) way of embroidering a couple of names on a few canvas bags? Maybe you happen to be the craftiest of all ladies that have one of those embroidering machines that would not mind helping one that cannot even sew buttons on anything? Thanks so much!

We have oodles of fam coming to visit this week and were wondering if anyone has either an infant or regular car seat that we cold borrow tomorrow through Tuesday. Thank you very kindly!

The summer monster is around the corner...

... and I am dreading every minute of it. I know I am a real dead-beat mom. I still have no plans whatsoever for my two heathens and I am pleading, begging for your suggestions. It does not help my cause that a) I have to work at least 4 hours a day M-F, b) I have no real budget to work with for my boys' entertainment, c) we probably will be in town all summer long.

If any of you moms have plans for babysitting co-ops, I'm in. Playgroups, I'm in. Conspiracy to unconsciously misplace/loose your kids somewhere, I'm in.

So please let me know. As you can see, I am losing sleep over this...

Camping

Hey all! Nick is taking the girls camping this weekend. We are not campers, therefore have no stuff (except for the tent.) I think the biggest thing they are going to need is pads to put under their sleeping bags. Does anyone have 3 that they could lend to us this weekend? Thanks much!
